Here’s a query.

Assuming the characters in your fandom(s) don’t antedate the wireless….

What would your favourite characters’ favourite programmes be?  (God forbid it should be The Archers….)

Depends on the date. Unfortunately, The Archers would cover practically any time. Sorry about that.

Apart from that, a lot depends on the character. Most of the time my radio has been tuned to Radio 3; my next door neighbour/oldest friend has hers tuned to Radio 4. But we're both "intellectuals".

Remus would be a TMS fan :)

At the moment, Potterwatch.

(Have you got any good info on what people - both kids and adults - would have listened to in the UK between... oh, about 1946 and 1957? I've got a NaNoWriMo idea brewing.)

Peter Wimsey would, I'm sure, enjoy TMS.

I was about to recommend a hd_career_fair story titled 'Punch Lines', as I thought it might interest you (I honestly didn't really /get/ it - perhaps because I'm not British?). Almost belatedly realised that it's your prompt it's based on. :D

At my age, that sort of thing happens to me daily.

It was a good story, wasn't it.
