'Makes you proud to be British....'

Hat-tips firstly to Hough S, and secondly to the Torygraph – yes, the Torygraph – Pride slide-show.

Firstly, the true culture of these Isles.

And secondly, well: London Pride.

London Pride: it's not only a beer.

Oh, dear. There's very little a tall blonde in a silver spangled bikini can't make better. Even a brutally, horrifically hot, don't-want-to-move-or-breathe morning. :D (Also, how did I not know of the existence of this show? I have just gotten lost in a vortex of amusing YouTube clips...)

Also, Pride pictures on the Torygraph? Really? \0/ (That one is, er, quite lovely. Good Lord, they look like the surfers in LA I knew. Except not as tanned. And the surfers probably wouldn't have worn hot pink. Although some of them might have, come to think of it. But dear God, the hipbones on those boys...)

I do hope you've seen the Vintage Syncopaters, then.

And a clip with Bernard Manning and Kenneth Williams discussing comedy.

Mind, Bernard was of his age, and got into a good deal of deserved trouble in his old age for crossing the line with racial jokes, so do be warned. (Think of him as John Prescott only funny. Er, intentionally funny.)

As for the other, well: 'London Pride. It's not always a beer', what? (Lickable lads, very.)

Re: I do hope you've seen the Vintage Syncopaters, then.

I just watched the Vintage Syncopaters! I may possibly be in love with them. :D Hysterically brilliant--and I really love My Blue Heaven. I have to say the whole show reminds me of the 60s/70s American variety shows I used to watch with my father in syndication.

I found the clip on TV am of Bernard Manning and Kenneth Williams--is that the one, or should I look for another as well?

And lickable would be a start with those two. :D Sadly we missed Pride this year over here--it happened while we were in London. Pity, but I can't feel terribly sorry since I'd rather have been in England. *G*

That was the one, yes.

Ah, Kenneth....

Lovely dreams, too.

Uh. Nothing etiolated about that beefcake. The blonde in the spangles is also sweet (more femme's type than mine, but everyone likes a good rear view [*who likes such things]).

IN ANY CASE, Happy Pride and all and long may we have the indiscretions of our youth to warm us, if not actual youth (having any fun this weekend?).

Shan't duplicate, just imagine my LJ name above.

Of course it was.

Spotted that without wanting to be told.

Well spotted, Mr Leopard

I think etiolated was a dead giveaway. And namedropping femme. Or perhaps the saucy minx angle?

And rightly so.

Yes, indeed.

Re: And rightly so.

They did get one of the bigger cheers as they walked past!

In the words of Farcebook, 'Like'.

(For me, Pride City is and always will be Paris. But London, yes, also good.)

Well, it's certainly not Aberdeen.

Or Inverness.
