Turning for a moment from cricket...
... to those impulses of mine which my family look at askance as not being hearty:

Elgar = Sibelius whilst Vaughan Williams = Grieg?

Discuss.

Musically, of course.

Rrreally? :)

I listen to more Vaughan Williams and then perhaps Sibelius out of the four. Stylistic or compositionally?

As a member of the Wedgwood-Darwin clan, Vaughan Williams automatically claims my preference.

Peer Gynt always a winner in my books. Ibsen and Grieg a natural combination.

Of course my family of Teutons much prefer screeching Valkyries and the Gotterdammerung which I can't endure no matter how much schnapps and weissbier I consume.

Peace,
Bubba
