Less Pooh than Kyrie Eeyore.

A D/L tie. Remarkable draw.

Piglet eleison

Wow. That is remarkable. A rainy, ducking miracle.

Kanga eleison.

'Straor'n'ry.
noeon From: noeon Date: September 11th, 2011 05:20 pm (UTC) (Link)

Kanga is MERCILESS

"And you know what I told you yesterday about making faces. If you go on making faces like Piglet's, you will grow up to look like Piglet--and then think how sorry you will be. Now then, into the bath, and don't let me have to speak to you about it again."

And Piglet certainly had a bath.

With hyssop.

And they're having a bath on the pitch, sure enough.

Is that the Duckworth-Lewis formula? What are the input and output variables? *Reaches for slide rule*
wemyss From: wemyss Date: September 12th, 2011 02:13 pm (UTC) (Link)

Ah. Maths.

'Z(u, w) is the expected number of runs to be scored in u overs when w wickets have been lost. Z0(w) is the average total score if an unlimited number of overs were available and when w wickets have been lost. b(w) is a decay constant that varies with w, the number of wickets lost.'

The tables used are available on the 'Net.
