This is appalling. - Wemyss's Appalling Hobby:
From the Party Guilty of Committing 'Gate of Ivory, Gate of Horn'

This is appalling.
Dreadful story w/r/t the Google St George's Day doodle.

Oh, my complaint's not the newsworthiness, or whether it was merely reprinting a press release. Rather, when a newspaper that wishes to maintain a broadsheet ethos misnames historiated initials, thinks them to be represented on the Bayeux Tapestry, and begins a sentence, 'Despite him being England's patron saint' in utter ignorance of the gerund's taking (see what I did there?) a possessive ... the subeditors want sacking.

Yup

That article rather butchers the English language a bit.

Just a trifle.

With a dull cleaver.

Still, it's useful to know where the dragon-slaying incident took place historically.

I keep hearing a voice.

Sounds uncannily like Marty Feldman. 'Where? Where be dragons?' 'There. There be dragons.'

If you choose to read such a liberal rag, you have only yourself to blame.

Uh, Gervase... the sub-editors probably have already been sacked.

All right.

Sack the Sixth Form work experience girl, then.

Oh dear. And I rather liked the Google doodle.

Despite not being a huge fan of St George's Day, I thought the doodle was fairly cute. My main issues re: st George's day is that it's been hijacked by fucking racists and people who don't think I'm English. There's only so many times you can get asked " no, where are you really from?" after you say that you're English before going off on a huge rant.
