What a wondrous day for liberty in America. - Wemyss's Appalling Hobby:
From the Party Guilty of Committing 'Gate of Ivory, Gate of Horn'
What a wondrous day for liberty in America.
I am not, as it happens, referring to the Massachusetts election, although I don't suppose anyone doubts where my sympathies were enlisted.

No: when I say this morning, Rejoice, rejoice, it is for the safe deliverance of Rifqa Bary, who - although she, like Ayaan Hirsi Ali, will forever be at risk from barbarous savagery - is at least no longer to be compelled to return to the non-existent mercies of her appalling father, thuggish brother, and those viciously evil people at CAIR.

Now God be thanked who hath brought us to this hour.

I'd missed that. I'll let the Reverend Martin Rinkart comment:

Considering that the whole anti-Rifqa campaign was shot through with anti-Christian prejudice, this is more than a victory for one girl.

Mmmm. Welcome to the Brown revolution.

That is an appalling and difficult case. I do hope she is safe.
